Fine art, fash­ion, a sexy car and a fab­u­lous party? Sounds like the per­fect mix.

The Chelsea Art Museum in New York City held an exquis­ite launch exhibit and party last Thurs­day evening. The event was in cel­e­bra­tion of the new Acura ZDX vehi­cle and fash­ion pho­tog­ra­pher Erik Madi­gan Heck hosted by Niche Media’s Gotham Mag­a­zine.

What makes the Acura ZDX unique is the close tie to young and inno­v­a­tive design. The Acura design team was in their twen­ties and their young hip vibe is def­i­nitely show­cased in the ZDX.
Erik Madi­gan Heck, also in his twen­ties, coor­di­nated with Acura on this launch and show­cased his pieces in this seven city national launch tour which ended in New York. Erik is a very young, estab­lished, suc­cess­ful fash­ion pho­tog­ra­pher and mixed-media artist. Erik has shot the likes of Valentino Gar­a­vani, Chris­t­ian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier and Hel­mut Lang.

The large open space and white walls of the Chelsea Art Museum gave the party a lux­u­ri­ous and cre­ative feel. The event was a huge suc­cess, draw­ing in a large crowd of almost 1000 guests. Attire ranged any­where from gowns, to gawk-worthy 3.1 Phillip Lim dresses, to pajama mate­r­ial over­alls. There was never a dull moment in the fash­ion department.

Both the Acura team and Erik were present at the event and express­ing their sup­port for one another.
